Golf Shirts Durban | Fabric Buying Guide

Compare cotton, polyester and blends for a corporate polo order without relying on marketing labels.

Read composition before choosing by appearance

A photograph shows colour and styling, but not how a fabric feels through a working day. Check the stated fibre composition and fabric weight where supplied. Cotton, polyester and blended fabrics can have different care and feel characteristics, but construction matters too. Do not assume a polyester polo is moisture-wicking unless the product specification says so.

Match the polo to the role

A driver, event coordinator and desk-based account manager may prefer different fits and features. Look at collar construction, sleeve finish, placket and available sizing. If your Durban team moves between indoor and outdoor duties, review the actual work pattern rather than buying from a generic summer label. Ask for a sample when comfort or appearance will determine a large team decision.

Check how branding affects the garment

Decoration changes the finished item. Confirm the size and location of embroidery or print, especially on a light fabric. Review the care instructions for both garment and branding method, and share them with staff. Put exact product codes, colours and a confirmed size run into the enquiry so the final quote relates to a usable uniform specification.

Compare a full working outfit

A polo should be assessed with the trousers, outer layer and any equipment worn during the day. Consider how the hem length, sleeve opening and cut behave when the wearer reaches or bends. Ask staff to try a sample where the order size justifies it. A neat standing photograph can hide a restrictive fit during activity. If different roles need different garments, keep the visual relationship through colour and branding rather than forcing everyone into the same construction.

Ask for evidence behind performance language

Words such as performance, easy care and premium are not a substitute for a specification. Ask which claims are stated for the exact model and what care instructions apply. If an important property is absent from the listing, treat it as unconfirmed rather than filling the gap with a generic description. This matters when comparing products at different prices. Record the reason for choosing the garment so a later replacement can be assessed against the same criteria, even if the original style is unavailable.
